Penumbra: Stealth

I love the AI in Frictional Games' games. If you crouch, stay completely still in the dark, and dont look at them, they will walk right by you, sometimes nearly touching you.
But in Penumbra: Black Plague the enemies got flashlights. How am I supposed to exploit their AI when they got that?!
